Spanish-language Podcast Radio Ambulante – With Two GV'ers Wins Innovation Award!

raaRadio Ambulante, a Spanish-language podcast and radio program that tells Latin American stories from anywhere Spanish is spoken, including the United States, recently won a Gabriel García Márquez Journalism Prize in the Innovation category. This award is organized by the FNPI (Gabriel García Márquez Foundation for New Iberoamerican Journalism), and it is one of the most prestigious journalism awards in Latin America.

I am honored to work as an editor and producer as part of a team of journalists and editors, which includes fellow GV'er Luis Trelles. We are both very excited to continue producing and editing long-form storytelling audio stories for Radio Ambulante. Our audience keeps growing as more Spanish speakers are learning about podcasting and audio storytelling, and this award has already helped us reach out to new listeners. You can listen to all Radio Ambulante stories here.
