What's in a frame?

Here is one explanation of news framing [2]. How are you framing your stories?

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a great week. We recently shared a post about our progress earlier this month on the NewsFrames Initiative [3], which hopefully has started to clarify things.

But if things still seem little sketchy, this is intentional. It is very important to all of us on the project that NewsFrames works for the GV community, and that your input informs the planning and design process.

This is where you come in.  We've designed a survey to gather ideas and information from you about  NewsFrames (and also a little on overall GV issues) and would love if you would complete it.

If you'd prefer to take the survey in Spanish or French, you'll find those versions below—sorry we couldn't do it in other languages! (best viewed in Firefox or Internet Explorer):

Your answers on the survey are confidential, unless you decide to share your contact information at the end, and the whole thing should only take about 10-15 minutes.

Your answers to these questions will help us figure out how to make NewsFrames, and Global Voices, into something truly valuable for the GV community.

Please fill out the survey by 31 October.

As inspiration, or plea, I offer this picture:

Thanks for tuning in, and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

p.s. A very big “thank you” to Lingua team members Albany [8], Suzanne [9], and Juan [10] for their help on the Spanish- and French-language surveys!
