Civic Strike in Cochabamba!

This morning Eddie Avila posted some video of the civic strike taking place today in his hometown of Cochabamba, Bolivia. I asked him if I could turn it into an Instagram post.

Out in the streets of his hometown of #Cochabamba, #Bolivia this morning, @barrioflores, director of GV’s Rising Voices section, captures these videos, and reports: “The city is currently experiencing a civic strike in protest against a new penal code and the president’s attempt to run for indefinite reelection. Public transport vehicles are blocking the major intersections, most businesses are closed, and ordinary citizens are out in the streets. Not sure what’s happening in the south of the city, where there’s more support for the president, but things around here are peaceful so far.
