Boukary Konate was born in a tiny village near Segou in Mali in a family of farmers. He lived his adult life in Bamako the capital of Mali but maintained strong ties with his fellow villagers. this pic by his friend Eddie Avilla is a favorite. His consuming passion was saving the villages ancient culture and traditions. And ushering new technologies in the neglected rural zones of Africa for those kids. Mister Smile.
