Global Voices Russian Lingua is happy to announce the launch of a partnership with It Gets Better Russia project. It Gets Better is an international movement and LGBTQ+ youth support project; among its participants since 2010 were Lady Gaga, Ellen DeGeneres and Barack Obama, and overall there have been more than 60000 videos created in more than 20 participating countries.

In Russia, the official It Gets Better partner operates since 2017. Its volunteer team in Russia both produces original videos with the stories of LGBTQ+ community members, whose world has changed for the better, and writes and translates materials about gays, lesbians, bisexual, transgender and queer people.

Now, as part of the cooperation between Lingua Russian and It Gets Better Russia, our translations of the posts related to the LGBTQ community will be republished on IGB page of the Russian social media platform VKontakte. Moreover, we hope that the partnership will facilitate the exchange of editorial and translation experience between the projects. As our new partner's slogan goes, «It gets better. Gradually, step by step. Day by day. Join us!»
