I've been involved with Global Voices almost since the organization's beginning- first as a volunteer author, then as a Community Liaison on the Global Voices Board, and finally as the former Daily Digest Editor. My calling in life has been to help amplify the voices of those whose voices are routinely marginalized in society. In my home state of Utah in the US, I work and volunteer with a variety of non-profit organizations tackling topics such as sexual violence, trafficking, disability rights and supporting formerly incarcerated women reintegrating and thriving in society. My life and my career has been profoundly influenced by the work that I have done with Global Voices, and I am honored to help give back to Global Voices by serving on the Community Council.
