GV Board Elections 2023: Announcing the candidates [UPDATED]

We're pleased to announce the following slate of candidates nominated to contest the positions of community representatives on the Global Voices board (please note that a few nominees respectfully declined to run):

Contractors’ representative (in alphabetical order by first name)
The campaign period begins today, March 31, and we’ve extended it until April 14 to accommodate a couple of Zoom calls with the candidates so that community members can engage with them in a live format. We’ll announce the dates of those calls soon. Here’s the updated schedule.
During the campaign period, we’ll be publishing blog posts on the community site introducing each candidate and inviting you to engage with them and ask questions in the comments. Candidates may also use the GV Community Google Group for campaign purposes, once messages are clearly labelled “[GV Election Campaign Message]”.
Over the next two weeks, we'll be sharing further information about the voting process, etc.
