Introducing Global Voices Videos on Facebook — Help Spread the GV Word by Sharing!

Screen Shot 2016-05-05 at 11.12.49 AMSome of you may have already noticed in your Facebook newsfeed … we started producing short videos from Global Voices stories last week!

The goal with these videos is to introduce GV stories to a larger audience. And you can help by sharing these videos in your circles.

Facebook doesn't show everything Global Voices posts on our page to our followers; most GV posts only reach about 1,500 GV fans. But the good news is every time you like or share a GV story that reach increases. A few times we've even hit 100,000 reach.

Please help spread GV stories by liking and sharing!

So far, we have produced four videos and published on Facebook. Collectively, they have been viewed 41K+ times in 10 days.

1. Atena is Free
originally reported by Tori Egherman
2. I am Chut Wutty
originally reported by Mong Palatino
3. #MyFirstAssault
originally reported by Elizabeth Rivera and translated by Lindsey Mulholland
4. Philippines, Don't Forget the Marcos Dictatorship:  originally reported by Mong Palatino.

Our production team is in-house and tiny. At this time, we only have the resources to produce 1-2 videos a week. We choose the stories based on multi-media content and stories that can be churned into compelling 100-word scripts.

If you have solid video editing skills, 4-6 hours to spare every week, and would like to help produce GV videos, please get in touch.

Happy sharing!
