During a stay in Kyiv, Global Voices’ Managing Editor Filip Noubel did a live interview on the Ukrainian news channel Прямий (Pryamiy) to discuss Taiwan, Taiwan-Ukraine relations, LGBT+ rights in Taiwan and China as well as human rights in China. Moreover, the talk adressed relations between China and Russia and the risk of China's attack in Taiwan. Noubel states, talking about the interview afterwards, that Taiwan is almost never mentioned in Ukrainian media given the pro-China narratives still present in Ukraine.

Parts of the almost 50-minute long interview, which had a live audience of around three million viewers, also focused on Noubel being a polyglot and mentioned the work Global Voices does.
